Built in 1957 as a CV-440 this CV-580 was converted to Allison turboprop power in 1962. It was originally used in the oil industry before eventually ending up in New Zealand with the Fieldair group ion February 1990. They passed it to Air Chathams in the early 2000’s. It wore this special “Toroa/Mollymawk” livery to celebrate the rare Chatham’s Island Albatross until it was scrapped in 2021.
