At IronHorse Hobbies, we want you to love your purchase. If something’s not quite right, here’s how we can help.
Change of Mind Returns (14-Day Policy)
Change of mind returns are at our discretion and are on a case-by-case basis. They may incur a restocking fee of 20% and original purchase freight cannot be refunded.
They will be considered within14 days of delivery, as long as:
- The item is in brand-new, resaleable condition
- It is returned in original packaging, unopened and unused
- You have proof of purchase
❌ Please note: We cannot accept returns on paints, glues, decals, or other consumable items, due to hygiene and storage concerns.
To request a return, please contact us via info@ironhorsehobbies.co.nz and include your order number and reason for return.
Return postage is the buyer’s responsibility unless the item is faulty.
When returning goods please package carefully to ensure they arrive undamaged.
Repairs
Due to the specialist nature of many of the products we sell, IronHorse Hobbies does not offer repairs on old or used items. We recommend contacting a specialist repairer for out-of-warranty or vintage item servicing.
Warranty Issues
We stand by the products we sell. If your item arrives damaged or develops a fault due to a manufacturing defect, we’re here to help.
All warranty claims must:
- Be submitted within the product’s warranty period
- Include a valid proof of purchase
- Be lodged via our warranty form below

Once received, we’ll assess your claim and liaise with the relevant supplier or manufacturer. If approved, we’ll arrange a replacement, refund, or repair (as applicable).
