This 4-engined delta wing bomber came into service with the US Strategic Air Force at the beginning of the 1960s and was, at that time, the pinnacle of technology. The B-58 could reach supersonic speeds even at full load and was specifically designed to carry nuclear weapons so as to provide a fast response to a Soviet attack, which, back in the Cold War of the 1950s, was considered a constant threat.

1950s Technology at price not to be beat
The new range of Italeri 1/72 scale aircraft can’t be beat on price. I received the IH newsletter with the new range, couldn’t contain the urge and put it in the cart straight up. Paid online and received a message to say it was ready for pick up first thing the next morning. So that what I did. Great show IronHorse.
