Hobby Boss 83506 1:350 DKM Navy Type lX-A U-Boat

This submarine type was designed and built as an ocean-going submarine in 1935-1936, and was also an improvement on the IA-class submarine. Its operational diving depth was 100 meters, and its maximum diving depth was 200 meters. It had six torpedo tubes below the waterline (four in the bow and two in the stern) and could carry 22 torpedoes. This type of submarine had elevators and rudders similar to the VIIC type. One periscope was installed in the control room, and two were installed in the conning tower (these features were removed from the IXC type). The IX-class submarine had five external torpedo compartments (two in the bow and three in the stern), which could store an additional 10 torpedoes. When performing mine-laying missions, the submarine could carry 44 TMA mines or 66 TMB mines. The boat was equipped with a 105mm deck gun with 110 rounds of ammunition, but the configuration of its anti-aircraft weapons varied during the war.
