The B-29 Superfortress was a heavy bomber of the USAAF intended for high-altitude strategic bombing. This bomber took its first flight in 1942 and, at the time of its development, was the most technologically advanced plane ever built. The B-29A "Enola Gay" is known for dropping the first atomic bomb, as well as confronting the Japanese during the latter half of WWII. T?e "Enola Gay" is currently on display at the National Air & Space Museum in Washington, DC. This kit comprises over 175 transparent and plastic parts ready for a faithful recreation of USAAF B-29A with two finishing markings, "Enola Gay" and "Bockscar" in 1/72 scale. The fully assembled model is 42.1cm long and 11.7cm tall.
