The LRDG (Long Range Desert Group) was a British unit which served in North Africa during WWII, performing reconnaissance and raiding duties behind enemy lines. Their command cars were typically trucks which had been modified with heavy weaponry and a number of accessories. They proved to be a thorn in the side of German and Italian units in the area.
About the Model
This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit of an LRDG command car. ?Length: 157mm, Width: 61mm. ?The model accurately captures the tough form of the car's open-top body and suspension. ?A wide range of accessories such as jerry cans and oil drum are included to further up the authenticity of your model. ?Comes with parts to depict Bren gun and Boys anti-tank rifle. ?Features a range of seven LRDG figures in realistic pose, including driver and machine gunner figures.
