The Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress remains a testament to the military power of the U.S. during the Second World War. The B-17G variant exceeded the combined production numbers of previous variants and was developed to facilitate bombing operations against enemy goals and crush them utterly. The B-17G variant delivered on rectifying various shortcomings of previous incarnations of the Flying Fortress and made crucial improvements, primarily upgrading the aircraft's defensive armament. The Flying Fortress was developed as a massive defensive armament. It was thought that an entire fleet of B-17's could quickly annihilate attacking aircraft, lending to its fearsome reputation as a force to be reckoned with. This model kit faithfully recreates the B-17G Flying Fortress with the Special Nose Art, in 1/72 scale.
