Rigid ground throws require the modeler to make a spring to take up the overtravel. This throw was designed for situations where there is trackage, building, or scenery in the way of using our sprung stand.

Works very well when installed ... I was more than satisfied with the performance. Two notes: 1. Make sure you have sufficient space because 2. of the requirement (clearly stated in the listing) that all 100 series (Rigid) stands require modelers to fabricate a spring connecting link between the stand and the turnout.
