The IAR-80 was a low-wing, all-metal fighter aircraft developed by Romania during World War II, also used for ground attack. It first flew in 1939, and its design was similar to contemporary aircraft such as the German Messerschmitt Bf 109B and the British Hawker Hurricane Mk.I. Due to production problems and a lack of onboard weapons, the IAR-80 did not enter service until 1941, remaining in frontline service until 1944.
